Growing Kohlrabi: A Hidden Gem!

Kam, a frequent visitor to the market, brought three of her kohlrabi plants. She wanted to show how nice they had grown for her; but she also added that they had taken almost a year for them to actually grow to a nice size. She stated how she would often prepare them for her quite delicious stews. She would only use the center part of the plant and discard the thin leaves for her chickens. Additionally, she wanted people to compare how different her plants had grown, as only one had made it to a considerable size. She originally grew them from seeds she got from our seed exchange and was eager to return a contribution.
