The Pomona Community Farmer Alliance was formed out a desire to make make high-quality, nutrient-dense, toxin-free food regularly accessible and affordable in our local community. We know the power of a healthy meal! By connecting local farmers and business owners while also empowering folks in the community we are able to create a space for knowledge sharing that emphasizes health, well-being, nutrition, and food preparation, and uplifts the value of tradition and culture. Every Saturday we are able to provide local opportunities for positive engagement with the community through service and volunteering in a safe and reliable community space. Let’s thrive together!

The Pomona Community Market
The Pomona Valley Certified Farmers Market, also know as the Pomona Community Market, is one of the oldest in southern California. Since its inception in 1981, the market has offered farmers a venue to direct sell their produce to the community. In 2018, three women joined forces to create the Pomona Community Farmer Alliance (PCFA), which operates the chemical-free/organic side of the market every Saturday. By directly partnering with local farmers, the PCFA makes chemical-free/organic produce affordable in our community!

Pomona’s Community Seed Exchange was founded in 2019, thanks to a generous grant from the California Humanities. You can find the Seed Exchange 7 days/week at Café con Libros in downtown Pomona or at the Pomona Community Market every Saturday from 9am-1pm. We are always accepting seed donations and provide free seeds to the community!
